A small songbird — Length: 4.5-4.9 in (11.5-12.5 cm)

“Arizona” Bell’s Vireos are difficult to spot, they don’t visit feeders. The best time to see them is during breeding season when you can follow their melodious song. They migrate south in September and return mid March. In the bottom photo, the nest is deep in our bamboo grove, making photography tricky - not much light in there. High ISO, slow shutter speed, wide aperture. There are three young in the nest.
