Length: 4.8-5.4 in (12.3-13.8 cm)

If you visit Brandi Fenton Park there is a very good chance you will see Vermillion Flycatchers flitting from trees. They watch for flying insects, catching them in midair by quick flights, often returning to the same perch. Adult males (top) are brilliant orange-red with a dark brown mask through the eyes and brown back, wings, and tail. Females (bottom) and immatures are gray-brown with faint streaks on the breast and a salmon-red blush on the underparts.
