Smaller than a Sparrow. Length: 3.5-4.3 in (9-11 cm)
Adults are grayish birds with yellow heads and a small chestnut patch above the wing. Juveniles are similar but don't have the yellow and chestnut colors. Verdins visit hummingbird nectar feeders, you can also attract verdins with sweet oranges or grapefruit.
